KatieI have a 1 year old cat. He's been healthy for as long as i can remember, but a few days ago he go into a fight. He's been limping around the house and moping really bad. He hasn't eaten in two days. He'll drink water, but won't eat anything.

MariaI have a 5 year old cat. We went on vacation (nothing new) and when we came back she was very lathargic. I took her to the vet's and they checked her all over and ran all sorts of tests and found nothing. She will not eat or drink (unless it is happening when I am not around). She looks and acts very healthy. But..her litterbox is empty! How do I make her eat!
MonaIs your cat eating yet? At least he is drinking. I was taking my cat the the vet everyday for IV hydration and finally decided the appetite stimulant was not working and I wasn't going to let him starve so I got a 14 Fr suction catheter and a syringe and began hydrating and then feeding him first chicken broth and then chicken broth and baby food (1:1 concentration) and finally pureed cat food. Good luck to you.
    Pauline ShippHi Katie..
Sorry to hear about kitty, and I'd like to offer the advice of going to the supermarket, where they sell Pedialyte formulas in the baby food section, and you can give that to your kitty via dropper or syringe (no needle of course), at regular times, about a 2-3 each hour in the least, for hydration. And plain water is good too. You can also try forcing baby foods, like the meats and carrots, also. It's important as they can go downhill quickly. And of course, seeing a vet is always important as well if this continues and appetite doesn't come back, and no improvemnt overall. Best wishes now.
